- Display your contributions and profile on the leaderboard
- Send notifications about your contributions
- Improve the accuracy of fare data
- Prevent fraud and abuse
3. Data Sharing
Your display name and contributions are publicly visible on the Service. We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share anonymised, aggregated data for research or analytical purposes.
4. Cookies
We use essential cookies to manage your login session. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising cookies.
5. Data Retention
We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. Approved route and rank contributions are retained as part of the public dataset even after account deletion, but they are anonymised and no longer linked to your identity.
6. Your Rights & Account Deletion
You have the right to:
- Access and update your personal information at any time
- Delete your account yourself from your profile page
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed: your profile information, display name, email address, profile picture, comments, likes, and notifications. Your approved route and rank contributions will remain in the system but will be anonymised.
7. Data Security
We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS) and secure authentication provided by Supabase. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
8. Changes to This Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify users of significant changes. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
